Ministerial Staff

Frank Johnson - Senior Pastor

The Church truly is the “house of God,” but not as it is often thought. The Church is not a literal building but rather, it is the people who gather to learn, to worship, and to be equipped for life as God’s Representative People in His world. “In [Christ] the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit” Ephesians 2:21-22, NIV). “A temple in which God lives by his Spirit”—amazing! We are individually crafted as components of this temple, but it is as we are “joined together … in him” that we can become “a holy temple in the Lord.” We are not just a pile of bricks thrown together every week or so. We are “being built together” to become this “dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit.”

Philippians 4:6-7 say that instead of being anxious or stressed out, we should turn to God, pray to Him with thanksgiving and He will give us His peace: peace that "transcends all understanding."

We are so thankful that God has provided such a wonderful body of believers with which to serve and minister. Through you we have experienced God's love and peace in so many ways.

Our desire as a family is to continue to serve our Great God here with you. He is our peace (Eph. 2:14), and together we are His hands and feet, sharing this hope with all who will hear. Let's keep it up!

Pastor Jeremy

I am Stacia Harmsen and I work as the youth director here at Chestnut Street Baptist Church.

I also help with the collegiate ministry work that happens here. It is a blessing to see God working in the lives of the young people in Ellensburg and especially at CSBC.

I continually look forward to what our Great God will do next in these ministries He has allowed me to work in!

Praise God for the great love and grace that He pours out on us!

May He bless you with the knowledge of what He has already generously given.

The office is open Tuesday through Friday from 9 AM to 12 PM. Feel free to call me or drop by if you have any questions.

The Nutshell, our monthly newsletter, is available  here on our website or by e-mail on request.
